It was established in 1933. The school holds a rich heritage of history from the pioneering days. Ngakuru is a progressive farming area, predominantly dairying with an increasing number of lifestyle block owners who commute to employment in Rotorua or Tokoroa.

We have a great community spirit which is reflected in our school – a keen governing Board of Trustees, a vibrant, hard-working P.T.A. and a supportive parent body (coaching sport, involvement in all events, encouraging all of our students.)
