We are a parent and community run organisation that offers fun educational sessions for children 0 - 6 years. We are open Mondays to Thursdays (including school term holidays). We are open from 9.30am until around 12.30pm and have an open door policy for any new members or visitors wishing to come for a visit.

During our sessions our children get to interact with other children from our community, while enjoying a full range of resources and facilities. The parents on session get to enjoy other adult conversation, while playing and learning alongside their children.

Playcentre offers a national certificate in Level 4 or 5 Early childhood education, which you can obtain for FREE while you attend our centre. this gives you the opportunity to take your qualification once you leave the Playcentre environment and obtain a working position in any daycare facility.

Ngakuru Playcentre has a unique and reciprocal relationship with our adjoining Ngakuru School, our over 3's visit Room 1 every Tuesday for play based learning, and they in turn visit us regularly. We also participate in annual events like Ag Day and the Pumpkin Roll.
